Student projects

Research projects with us

If you are an applied physics student in Delft or a Casimir master student, and you want to work on theory of quantum nanoscience (see also the overall direction of our research), we'd be happy to work with you. However there are several things you should know:

  • Theory projects often require that you learn a lot of extra material, both in physics and math. In particular this is important for bachelor projects, where you only have around 2.5 months, unless you are doing a double bachelor.

  • Most likely you will need to do some programming in Python. You don't need to know Python in advance, but brushing it up will make your life easier.

  • We do run out of available projects that we can accommodate, so your chances are higher if you apply as early as possible.

To apply simply email Anton Akhmerov and Michael Wimmer.
